Astro’s K-pop sensation, Moon Bin, passed away at 25, as confirmed by his music label, Fantagio. The sad news was announced on Instagram, with Fantagio saying that Moon Bin has “suddenly left us and became a star in the sky.” According to Yonhap news agency, Moon Bin was discovered deceased in his residence in southern Seoul by his manager at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
The music label, Fantagio, expresses its deep mourning for the deceased member of Astro, and extends its sympathies to the star’s bereaved family. The label states that the entire Astro team, along with Fantagio colleagues, executives, and employees who have been together for a long time, are devastated by the sudden loss of their beloved member. The label also emphasized the late star’s love for their fans and requested people to avoid making speculative and malicious reports during this period of grieving.
Moon Bin made his debut with the popular K-pop group Astro back in 2016. Alongside Jinjin, MJ, Cha Eun-woo, and Yoon San-ha, he has become a well-known name in the music industry.
In addition to his work with Astro, Moon Bin has also been involved in a successful subunit with Sanha. Recently, Moon Bin & Sanha toured throughout Asia, garnering a significant following.
Sadly, Moon Bin passed away before he could perform with Sanha at upcoming concerts in Busan and Jakarta, which were meant to promote the 2030 World Expo. Despite this tragic loss, Moon Bin’s talent and contributions to the K-pop world will be remembered forever.
